Meet Art

Art Trapotsis is the author of The Everyday Athlete: How to Balance Work, Family, and Fitness for Life. His work explores how people with full lives can stay healthy, energized, and grounded through movement.

He is the founder and host of the New England Endurance Podcast, where he highlights the people, events, and organizations that make the endurance sports community in New England so vibrant. He is also the founder and president of Keep It Tight Athletics, a Boston-based cycling club.

Art has been active in endurance sports since 1994, participating in rowing, cycling, running, and triathlon while navigating the same balance challenges many professionals face. His experiences led to the philosophy behind The Everyday Athlete, which he recently shared in a TEDx Talk at Tufts University.

In addition to his work in athletics and storytelling, Art has spent over two decades building and leading companies in the life sciences and manufacturing sector. He is a co-owner of a medical device company in Massachusetts and a strong advocate and industry advisor for the manufacturing sector. He serves as Chairman of the Board of FORGE and the Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership, and has been actively involved in advancing manufacturing innovation across Massachusetts.

Art also enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs and students. He has served as a guest lecturer at Babson College (undergraduate and MBA programs) and Tufts University’s MSIM program, sharing lessons from entrepreneurship, leadership, and scaling manufacturing businesses.

Art has represented the United States at the ITU Age-Group World Championships as a member of Team USA’s Sprint Triathlon team and is a certified USA Cycling coach. He has a a BS and MS from Tufts University and an MBA from Babson College.
